Ein Blick in die Vergangenheit ...

We met lots of happy faces in the school's foyer this morning and it appears that Ashcombe students had a lovely first evening with their exchange partners. What has particulary impressed us is the confidence and willingness shown by the students to use as much German as possible!  "Was sollen wir machen?" seemed to be a popular question to ask ... we wonder why!?

Today, we went to Bonn where we had a guided tour through the "Haus der Geschichte". It was fabulous to see students sharing and developing their knowledge of the German history. We then had some time to explore the town and to look around the shops. The Haribo shop was definitely a treat at the end and the German economy was boosted judging by the amount of money spent there. :-)

Tomorrow we are off to Cologne, exploring the beautiful city and making a stop at the chocolate museum. We will keep you updated ...
